When you purchase your boat or pwc the last thing you probably thought about was insurance. Well, it is important to make sure you have insurance and the right coverage for the type of watercraft you have.
Most carriers breakdown watercrafts into three (3) categories for insurance purposes:
- Boats generally between 16 and 25ft. 11in. in length.
- Yachts (Boats over 26 feet in length)
- PWC (Personal Watercrafts) ex. Jet skis, wave runners and other similar vessels.
All three types require different types of insurance coverage. Our professional staff will work closely with you and our carriers to find the policy that best fits your needs and concerns.
Why do I need boat insurance?
- Many Marinas do not allow you to dock your boat without insurance.
- Coverage from Liability, Accident or Injury
- Finacing your boat (banks and finacial institutions require insurance coverage)
Check your homeowners policy. Most homeowners policy will provide a small amount of coverage when the watercraft is parked at your home. But this is often a insignificant amount of coverage.
Our carriers offer discounts that may apply to your premium. Ask our professional staff how you may qualify.
